Van Andel Arena

A block away from Plaza Towers is the 12,000-seat Van Andel Arena. In addition to being the home of the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins and the Arena Football League Rampage, the arena is one of the most sought after entertainment venues for numerous national concert tours including Tina Turner, the Eagles, Kenny Chesney, The Police, Eric Clapton, Elton John, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Cirque du Soleil to name just a few. The arena is annually named one of the top 50 arena venues in the U.S.

Theatres

Theatres abound around Plaza Towers. Broadway Grand Rapids brings national touring companies of the hottest Broadway plays to DeVos Performance Hall. (Once again, Plaza Towers is connected by the skywalk so no coats are necessary in the winter months.) Grand Rapids Civic Theatre (one of the oldest and largest community theaters in the U.S.) and Actor’s Theatre are mere blocks away.

DeVos Performance Hall

DeVos Hall, a 2,400-seat performing arts theater is also connected to Plaza Towers by the skywalk. It is home to the Grand Rapids Symphony, Opera Grand Rapids and the Grand Rapids Ballet. DeVos Hall also brings other touring productions and entertainment such as Jerry Seinfeld, Mandy Patinkin and Jeff Dunham.
